Wright Arthrotunneler Arthroscopic Transosseous Tunneling Device
This system is unique from most other rotator cuff repair systems in the fact that no anchors are used. This device allows surgeons to create tunnels arthroscopically in the humerus, and then multiple sutures can be passed through. The benefit of this is that it allows for complete “transosseous”, or “through-bone” fixation. This theoretically enhances biological healing by increasing the contact area between the tendon and the bone where it is re-attached.
