The SmartRelease® Endoscopic Soft Tissue Release System is minimally invasive and involves a single-incision. The unique aspect of this system is the Onyx™ Low Profile Disposable Blade Assembly. It takes up less volume and thus this system can be used in the setting of a carpal tunnel that smaller and more constricted than the average. Additionally, there is a scraper tip built-in that helps the surgeon remove some of the inflamed tissue in the carpal tunnel. This system also has the capability for the cutting device assembly to be rotated either left or right to better accommodate the hand dominance of the surgeon.
